Team, Class and Recital Books — One Shoot, Twenty-Five Buyers
Volume event work has always had the same bottleneck: the money is in the families, and reaching all of them means paper order forms, envelopes, and a spreadsheet. Hickory replaces that with one gallery link and one designed book that every family can order for themselves.
Start with a gallery you’ve already delivered. No new shoot required.
Design once, sell to the whole roster
A league day, a recital, a class year. You upload the gallery once, Hickory drafts the book once, and every family on the roster can buy their own copy of it from the same link. Each additional order costs you the print and nothing else — no extra design pass, no second export, no reason to turn an order down.
Every order ships to its own address
Books print to order and drop-ship directly to each family in two to three weeks. Nothing arrives at your studio, so there is no sorting, no distribution day, and no leftover stock from families who changed their minds.
The math of a 25-family event
The only number we set is what a copy costs you: $27.71 on a 36-page hardcover, one copy, printing and US shipping to that family's door and our flat $8 together. Assume it stays there — every family orders separately to their own address, so each one is a single-copy order and there is no bulk rate to count on. Printing costs the same per copy anyway; the saving on a multi-copy box is shipping, not printing. You choose retail, so what you keep per copy is a number you set and it is the same on the first order and the fifteenth. What changes with volume is only your side of it: the design work behind every copy sold was the one review pass you did after upload.
Questions photographers ask
Do I need every family's email?
No. One gallery link passed round the team or class chat is enough. Families order from the link.
Can each family get a different book?
No. A gallery has one book, and every family who orders from that gallery receives that same team book. If you want a per-family or per-player variation, that means a separate gallery with its own photos and its own drafted book. For most league days and recitals the single team book is what you want anyway — it's the one everyone in the group is in.
How long until families receive them?
Print and delivery run two to three weeks per order, straight to each family's address.
