Hickory for photographers
A Client Gallery With the Shop Built In
Most galleries deliver files and stop. The client downloads, says thank you, and the relationship ends until next year. Hickory's gallery does the delivery and then keeps selling — the designed book sits in the same link your client already opened.
Start with a gallery you’ve already delivered. No new shoot required.
One link does delivery and sales
Send the gallery the way you always do. Your client browses on their phone, downloads what they paid for, and finds a finished book — cover, spreads, their photos — ready to order. No second link, no separate storefront login, no 'let me send you a price list' email.
Your studio's name leads
The gallery, the shop and the checkout are yours — your name, your prices, your client. The album is credited to you first, with one line underneath: "Made with Hickory". We never sell or share your client list, and we never pitch anything to your client before a sale.
Share links you can hand out safely
Client galleries and proofing links are reached by a token in the URL and are blocked from search engines by robots.txt. A crawler indexing a wedding gallery is the failure mode we designed against.
Questions photographers ask
Can my client just download and skip the book?
Of course. The shop is an offer, not a toll gate. Delivery works exactly as it should.
Do I set the prices?
Yes, every one of them. What your client pays is entirely your call. Our side is one cost per copy — printing, shipping and a flat $8 — shown to you beside the price field, and whatever you price above it is yours.
How many galleries can I run?
As many as your studio needs — this is built for studios delivering galleries week after week: weddings one weekend, newborn and family sessions midweek, a team day or a conference in between.
What does the subscription cost?
Opening a studio is free — set one up, upload a gallery, and look at the book it drafts before you pay us anything. You set the retail price your client sees, and your studio shows you one figure for what a copy costs you: printing, binding, US shipping to your client's door and our flat $8 per copy, added together. On the 100-page hardcover a new studio starts with, priced at $89, that figure is $31.78 and you keep $57.22. The $8 is flat, never a percentage, so we don't earn more because you charge more. Running a studio is a flat $39/month; the first 100 photographers to subscribe lock in a founding rate of $29/month for life. Billing is monthly, cancel anytime, and the pricing page has the full arithmetic.
